It all began in 1950 when Jean-Louis Domecq designed a lamp adapted to the needs of his business: a simple, robust, articulated lamp with no cables in its joints. Its distinctive feature is its circular and concentric contact system in the articulated arms, a revolutionary concept made of chrysocale, an alloy of copper, zinc, and tin.

The lamps are still handcrafted, using the original tools, in the workshops of Saint Priest, in the suburbs of Lyon, France.

Since its inception, the Jieldé company has been committed to designing and manufacturing its products in France.

They bring together their main suppliers, such as foundries and paint companies, within a radius of less than 20 km. The main players in production are long-standing partners, allowing them to guarantee optimal monitoring and quality.
